Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON, I WAS GOING FOR A DRIVE ON THE 605 FREEWAY. ABOUT 15 MINUTES LATER ON THE FREEWAY, I GOT OFF THE FREEWAY TO HEAD TOWARDS THE BEACH. WHILE I WAS STUCK ON A RED LIGHT I SAW SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE REAR OF MY FERRARI. I PULLED OVER IMMEDIATELY TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG. I COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH CAR. I THOUGHT I BLEW A RADIATOR BUT THAT WASN'T IT EITHER. SO I DROVE THE CAR BACK HOME SLOWLY THROUGH THE STREETS. NEXT DAY I TOOK IT TO ONE OF MY FRIENDS MECHANIC TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON BEFORE I CALLED THE FERRARI DEALER TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALER. WHEN WE CHECKED THE CAR, WE FOUND THAT THE POWER STEERING HOSE OR THE F1 TRANSMISSION HOSE WAS LEAKING AROUND THE ENGINE AND THE FLUIDS WERE GETTING IN CONTACT WITH THE HOT EXHAUST SYSTEM. IF ENOUGH OIL GETS ON THE EXHAUST, THERE'S SMOKE AND POSSIBLY CAUSE A FIRE BECAUSE FERRARI ENGINES CAN GET EXTREMELY HOT. *TR
