TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 EAGLE DUAL SINGLE AXLE BOAT TRAILER (NA). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL SEIZED AND DETACHED FROM THE TRAILER WHILE TRAVELING 50 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY. THE TRAILER DROPPED ONTO THE HIGHWAY PAVEMENT. THE TRAILER WAS TOWED AWAY ON A FLATBED TRUCK AFTER BEING DRAGGED OFF THE HIGHWAY. CAPRI MARINA (457 LAKESHORE DRIVE, LAKEVILLE, PA 18438, (570) 226-3819) REQUESTED THAT THE VEHICLE BE BROUGHT TO THEIR FACILITY. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE AXLE WAS NOT PROPERLY LUBRICATED, WHICH CAUSED THE FAILURE. THE DEALER CHECKED AND LUBRICATED THE DRIVER SIDE WHEEL ASSEMBLY. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY ANOTHER UNKNOWN DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35.
