THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DISCONNECTED. *JB
OVER 3 DAY PERIOD OF TIME REVERSE GEAR COMPLETELY FAILED. FEW DAYS LATER, IT WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO THE HIGHEST GEAR. PAN REMOVED. NO SLUDGE/SHAVINGS IN IT. NEW FLUID AND FILTER PLACED IN IT. NO HELP. HAVE FRIEND WITH SAME VEHICLE WITH BAD TRANSMISSION
TIRE DELAMINATED WHILE TRAVELING WITH FAMILY ON I-10, 20 MINUTES FROM HOME. I FILED A INCIDENT REPORT WITH FIRESTONE AND SENT THEM THE TIRE AS THEY REQUESTED. WHEN TIRE DELAMINATED, IT DAMAGED THE REAR QUARTER PANEL OF MY VAN ALONG WITH DAMAGING EXHAUST AND FUEL FILLER TUBE. FIRESTONE RESPONDED TO MY INCIDENT REPORT CLAIMING NO FAULT AND THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO AN UNDERINFLATED TIRE. I HAVE EVIDENCE AND CAN PROVE UNDER OATH THAT THIS TIRE HAS NEVER BEEN UNDERINFLATED, SINCE I CHECK THE TIRE PRESSURE OF ALL THE VEHICLES TIRES AT MINIMUM EVERY 60 DAYS. I HAVE PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE TIRE AFTER IT FAILED ALONG WITH PIECES OF ITS TREAD. THE TIRE HAD ONLY 36,220 MILES ON IT AND WAS VISUALLY INSPECTED JUST A FEW WEEKS PRIOR TO IT'S FAILURE. THE TIRE HAD NO VISUAL SIGNS OF ADVERSE TREADWEAR; REGULAR ALIGNMENTS AND WHEEL BALANCING WERE PART OF MY PREVENTATIVE ROUTINE MAINTENANCE.*AK (DOT NUMBER: VD1L1XD308 TIRESIZE: 225/75/R16)
CONSUMER PURCHASED 4 FIRESTONE WILDERNESS TIRES IN JULY OF 1999, ONE OF THE TIRES WENT FLAT AND WAS REPLACED, THE CONSUMER IS REQUESTING 5 NEW REPLACEMENT TIRES OTHER THAN THE FIRESTONE BRAND. *SLC
SECOND AND THIRD ROW OF SEATS IN THIS VEHICLE HAVE NO SEAT BELTS. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK
FRONT BRAKE CALIPERS AND DISC BRAKES WERE RUSTED, CAUSING POOR BRAKE PERFORMANCE. WHILE APPLYING BRAKES THERE WAS VIBRATION IN FRONT END. ALSO, BRAKES WERE ONLY ABSORBING PRESSURE ON ONE SIDE. THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD MULITPLE BRAKE PROBLEMS, INCLUDING FRONT WHEEL ROTORS, BRAKE PADS, WHEEL BEARINGS, ALL OF WHICH HAVE BEEN REPAIRED/REPLACED AT LEAST ONCE. *AK *ML

REAR AXLE FAILED, CAUSING ENGINE TO STALL.
REAR END DIFFERENTIAL FAILURE CAUSED VEHICLE TO STALL.
LEFT SIDE DOOR OPENED WHILE VEHICLE WAS MOVING DUE TO A BROKEN LOCK.
INTERMITTENT HIGH IDLE.
FRONT SHOCKS FAILED, CAUSING NOISE WHEN DRIVER OVER ROUGHT ROADS.
SWAY BAR BUSHING FAILED CAUSING NOISE OVER ROUGH ROADS.
DOOR LOCKS MALFUNCTIONED AND LOCKED OWNER IN VEHICLE.OWNER NOTES THAT WHEN VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF DOOR LOCK STILL HAD MALFUNCTIONED. OWNER HAS NOT TAKEN VEHICLE TO DEALER. *AK
