TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1991 DODGE RAM WAGON. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME EXTREMELY LOOSE AND THE VEHICLE WAS DRIFTING FROM LEFT TO RIGHT WITH AN UNSTABLE SUSPENSION. IN ADDITION, THE SPEED CONTROL AND STEERING CONTROLS FAILED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING KNUCKLES NEEDED REPLACING AND A FRONT END ALIGNMENT NEEDED TO BE PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. ADDITIONALLY, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SPEEDOMETER FAILED AND THAT THE UNSTABLE SUSPENSION CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO SWAY BACK AND FORTH. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
