TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 DODGE RAM 3500 QUAD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD WAS CRACKING FROM THE WINDSHIELD TO THE MOLDING. THE CONTACT WAS CUT ON THE FINGER WHEN THE DASHBOARD CAVED IN AND HE ATTEMPTED TO PULL IT BACK OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE DASHBOARD WOULD BE REPLACED AT HIS EXPENSE. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WHO OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THERE IS A COMPLAINT ALREADY ON FILE ABOUT THE UPPER BALL JOINT THAT FELL OUT @17K MILES. THE COMPLAINT THAT I WANT TO FILE NOW IS THE LOWER CONTROL ARM THA IS FLEXING WHEN THE BRAKE IS APPLIED OR WHEN A BUMP IS ENCOUNTERED. THE TRUCK WILL JUMP FROM ONE LANE TO THE OTHER WHEN A ROUGH PLACE IS HIT AT INTERSTATE SPEED. WHILE COMING OUT OF A CURVE THE TRUCK JOLTED, DIPPED AND COULD NOT BE CONTROLLED (1ST FAILURE). SUBSEQUENTLY I HIT A TELEPHONE POLE DETRYING THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT PANEL AND THE TRUCK SLID TO STOP AFTER "SHUTTING OFF" ( 2ND FAILURE). WHEN I GOT OUT OF THE TRUCK , BEHIND ME ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, THE PASSENGER SIDE SIDE WHEEL WAS LAYING ON THE GROUND STILL ATTACHED TO THE AXLE. DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THERE WAS A STRONG ODOR OF GASOLINE PRESENT. UPON INITIAL INSPECTION, NO LEAKS WERE DETECTED. THE CONTACT ALERTED THE DEALER WHO INSTRUCTED THE CONTACT TO START THE ENGINE AND UPON DOING SO, FLAMES ERUPTED FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE FIRE QUICKLY SPREAD CONSUMING THE VEHICLE. I WAS ON A BACK ROAD DOING 35 MPH I HIT BLACK ICE AND THE BACK END WENT OUT. I HAD WEIGHT IN THE BACK OF THE TRUCK BUT IT DIDN'T HELP. WHEN GOING SLOW THIS VEHICLE WILL AT TIMES SHUT OFF WHICH CAUSES YOU TO LOOSE THE BRAKES AND STEERING. THE FIRST TIME THIS OCCURRED I WAS ON A 360 DEGREE TURN EXIT RAMP AND WAS ABLE TO POP THE CLUTCH AND GET IT GOING AGAIN. THAT TIME THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE DIFFERENTAL. IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN REPEATEDLY CAUSING ME TO ALMOST RUN THROUGH A BAR ONE TIME WITH MY SON IN THE TRUCK.
