The 2007DODGEMAGNUM carries 140 consumer safety complaints in NHTSA's Office of Defects Investigation database for this specific model-year cohort. Within that volume, owners reported 10 crashes, 3 fires, 8 injuries, and 0 fatalities. No NCAP 5-star crash-test rating is available for this model year in the federal database.
Component-level analysis is where model-year complaints become actionable: the top complaint category for the 2007 MAGNUM is power train with 32 filings, followed by air bags (28) and engine (12). Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability. This model year has 5 active recall campaigns, which means the manufacturer is obligated to remedy the covered defect at no charge for the life of the vehicle — the full NHTSA campaign numbers are listed below.
NHTSA currently has 20 investigation files overlapping the 2007 MAGNUM, and 1 remain open. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. Use the related-complaint feed below to read raw owner narratives before deciding whether any pattern here affects your specific use case.

Son drove my car and lost control as it sprung out of control and he hit a tree. No airbags deployed during that impact. My insurance company totaled my car out but really didnât give a reason as to why they didnât deploy with such a hard hit. Police impounded my car and insurance company inspected my car for a settlement. I asked them why and I said I had to take it up with the manufacturer. He walked away with miner cuts. That could have resulted in his death.
My 2007 Dodge Magnum RT (5.7L Hemi) suffers from a dangerous engine stall immediately after refueling. The vehicle is equipped with the 19-Gallon Fuel Tank. When refueling, if the tank is filled to capacity, the engine stumbles and shuts off completely upon leaving the gas station. This stall occurs without warning in traffic, causing an immediate loss of power steering and power braking assistance, which creates a severe risk of a collision. This is the identical failure addressed in NHTSA Investigation PE13-016 and Chrysler Warranty Extension X53. The internal Multifunction Control Valve (MFCV) is defective; the float has swollen and remains stuck in the "open" position. This allows liquid fuelânot just vaporâto flood the EVAP system and the engine intake. I have already replaced the charcoal canister and purge valve, but the stalling persists, proving the defect is internal to the fuel tank assembly. Despite the 2007 models using the same defective tank design as the 2005-2006 m
Front passenger and driver airbag recall, stop driving recall. Called the FCA manufacturer to find my recall options, they claim the dealer I requested wonât tow to dealership?? Sounds absurd with the stop driving recall.

PARKED CAR FOR 10 MINUTES, NO ISSUES AT ALL, AFTER RESTARTING THERE WERE A LOT OF NOISES AND I WAS TOLD THE ENGINE IS BROKEN AND THE FIXING COSTS ARE AROUND 12000$.

THE COMMON ISSUES OF MANY 2007 DODGE MAGNUM VEHICLES IS THAT MY SHIFTER WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF THE PARK POSITION, THE SPRING WAS POORLY MADE AND THE JOB COST AT A LOCAL DODGE PLACE $280. THIS ISSUE HAS OCCURRED WITH SEVERAL DODGE OWNERS AND ITS OUTRAGEOUS THAT IT NOT NOT CONSIDERED A RECALL ON MY VEHICLE. MY VEHICLE WAS PARKED ON A SIDE STREET AND AFTER WORK I WENT INTO MY CAR TO DRIVE HOME AND THE SHIFTER WOULD NOT MOVE.
