ON CERTAIN MINI VANS, CONDENSATION FROM THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AIR CONDITIONING DUCTS MAY DROP THROUGH VENT HOLES IN THE TOP OF THE RADIO AND RESULT IN A SHORT CIRCUIT THAT SUBSEQUENTLY SENDS DIRECT CURRENT TO THE REAR SPEAKERS.

MY DODGE GRAND CARAVAN 2001 WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONT END COLLISION IN OCTOBER OF 2015. I T-BONED ANOTHER CAR THAT PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF ME. I WAS GOING 35-40 MILES PER HOUR. THE SEAT BELT FAILED TO TIGHTEN AROUND MY HIPS. BECAUSE OF THIS FAILURE I SUSTAINED EXTENSIVE DAMAGES TO MY RIGHT LEG. THIS INCLUDED A DISPLACED FRACTURE, NUMEROUS OTHER FRACTURES, A CRUSHED INJURY TO THE TIBIA PLATEAU. I HAD 5 MONTHS IN REHAB, 3 SURGERIES, EXTENSIVE PHYSICAL THERAPY. MY MINIVAN WAS IN PARK WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING WHILE I DELIVERED A PACKAGE TO A NEIGHBOR DURING A THUNDER, LIGHTNING, RAIN STORM. THE VAN JUMPED INTO GEAR, RACED FORWARD AND PINNED ME TO THE NEIGHBOR'S DOOR FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR BEFORE BEING RESCUED. I SPENT SEVERAL DAYS IN THE INTENSIVE CARE UNIT OF A HOSPITAL WITH A SEVERE CRUSH INJURY AND HIP SPRAIN TO MY RIGHT LEG. WHEN THE CAR WAS EXAMINED BY MY DEALER/MECHANIC, NOTHING REGISTERED ON THE COMPUTER. I HAVE LOCATED AT LEAST 2 OTHER INSTANCES

THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE ONLY RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE FRONT BUMPER. THE POLICE WERE NOT CONTACTED AND NO INJURIES REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN AWAY FROM THE SCENE; HOWEVER THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN INSPECTED AND NO REPAIRS MADE.
