I SMELLED A STRONG ORDER OF GAS WHEN DRIVING, WHEN I CHECKED UNDER THE HOOD THERE WAS A CONSTANT DRIPPING FRO THE FUEL RAIL SUPPLYING THE FUEL INJECTORS...FIRST , IT WAS A SMALL DRIPPING ON THE FRONT VALVE COVER AND AFTER 2-3 MONTHS ITS A STRONG CONTINUOUS DRIPPING FILLING UP THE VALVE COVER SPILLING INTO THE MANIFOLD AREA. I HAVE RESTRICTED DRIVING MY CAR TO 5-7 MILES AT A TIME TO PREVENT POSSIBLE FIRES. MY MECHANIC CALLED THE DEALERSHIP TO SEE HOW MUCH THEY COST AND THIS U-SHAPED ALUMINUM TUBING ABOUT 14" LONG ,8" CONNECTING TUBE WHERE IT IS LEAKING FROM TO ANOTHER PIECE OF ALUMINUM 14" TUBING THAT GOES UNDERNEATH THE MANIFOLD IS $300.00 AND $150 TO INSTALL IT. I THINK IT IS A FACTORY DEFECT THAT THE MANUFACTURING DEALER IS GOUGING ALMOST PUNISHING THEM FOR NEEDING THE PART BY CHARGING 3XS WHAT THE PIPING/TUBING REALLY SHOULD COST. MY MECHANIC AND I HAVE BEEN ALL OVER THE WEB LOOKING FOR THE SAME PART BUT ALL OF THEM SAY ITS A DISCONTINUED PARTS AND CAN ONLY BE BOUGHT BY THE DEALER

LEAKAGE OF FUEL AT THE FUEL RAIL CONNECTIONS, ABOVE THE VALVE COVERS, WHICH DRAINS ONTO THE MANIFOLD AND COULD START A FIRE. I AM TOLD IT WILL COST OVER $700 TO REPLACE THE PARTS WHICH CANNOT BE BOUGHT ANYWHERE ELSE. *TR
PURCHASED SAID VEHICLE IN SEPT. 2006 USED. WAS JUST DRIVING AT POSTED SPEED LIMITS IN A COMMUNITY AREA OF PHOENIX, WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN A LOUD CLACKING NOISE STARTED AS I PULLED UP TO MY DESIGNATION, SO I TURNED OFF THE MOTOR, LIFTED THE HOOD AND IMMEDIATELY NOTICED THAT THE TENSION PULLEY HAD NEARLY COMPLETELY CAME OFF THE MOTOR. IT DID CAUSE THE SERPINTINE BELT TO COME OFF OF ALL THE PULLIES OF THE MOTOR. I HAD TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED HOME, AGAIN FOR THE SECOND TIME SINCE SEPT. 2006. HEN THE VEHICLE WAS AT MY HOME I FINISHED REMOVING THE PULLEY THAT WAS LOOSE, CAUSING IT TO BENT ENOUGH TO THROW IT TOTALLY OFF OF ITS TENSION PURPOSE. UPON REMOVAL A BOLT WAS ALSO BROKEN WHICH MAY HAVE CAUSED THE TOTAL PROBLEM BECAUSE IT WAS NOT TIGHTENED TO TORQUE SPECS. HAD TO REPLACE BOTH PARTS ATTACHED TO THIS PULLEY.*AK

FOR THE THIRD TIME WITHIN A 3 YEAR PERIOD MY CAR WILL START AND RUN FOR ABOUT 2 SECONDS AND TURN OFF, I HAD IT TOWED AND THE MECHANICS WOULD REPLACED THE MAIN COMPUTER, OR SAY THEY DID, AND CHARGE ME A GREAT DEAL OF MONEY. I SEARCHED RECENTLY ON THE INTERNET TO SEE IF OTHERS HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, AND I FOUND THAT IT IS A DEFECTIVE PART PROBLEM FOUND AT THIS SITE---HTTP://AUTOREPAIR.ABOUT.COM/LIBRARY/A/1F/BL111F.HTM I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR A DEFECTIVE PART WHICH IS TIED IN TO AN ANTI THEFT FEATURE. *JB

BOTH REAR SET BELTS HAVE TROUBLE BEING PULLED OUT. THEY SEEM TO GET STUCK AND CANNOT BE USED. THIS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH TO REAR PASSENGERS. I HAVE YET TO FIX THE PROBLEM. *JB

PURCHASED VEHICLE USED OCT. 2006. NEAR MINT CONDITION. POWER EVERYTHING & EVERYTHING FUNCTIONS PERFECT. VEHICLE EMISSIONS PERFECT. APPROX. 4 DAYS AFTER FINAL REGISTRATION WAS SWITCHED, PLATED, & INSURED, I HOPPED ONTO THE FREEWAY, DOING ABOUT 65 MPH. WHEN SUDDENLY IN A MATTER OF SECONDS, I WAS TOTALLY OVERWHELMED BY THE SMELL OF GAS. I BECAME SERIOUSLY NAUSEOUS AND LIGHT HEADED AND HAD TO IMMEDIATELY EXIT THE FREEWAY TO FIND SOMEWHERE TO PULL OVER AS FAST AS I POSSIBLE COULD WITHOUT CAUSING AN ACCIDENT OR MORE SERIOUS A FATALITY. ONCE, I MANAGED TO PULL OVER I PULLED THE HOOD LATCH, JUMPED OUT TO GET A BREATH OF FRESH AIR, I POPPED THE HOOD TO TRY TO SEE WHERE THIS GAS WAS COMING FROM. ALL I COULD SEE WAS GAS SPAYING OUT ALL OVER THE PLACE, IN MASSIVE AMOUNTS JUST LIKE A HIGH PRESSURE HOSE AT A CAR WASH. 1\4 TANK LEAKED OUT ALL OVER THE TOP OF THE ENGINE & ALL OVER THE INTAKE MANIFOLD OF MY CAR. I THANKED GOD, THAT THE ENGINE WAS NOT HOT ENOUGH TO IGNITE THE WHOLE CAR,

1991 DODGE DYNASTY, 3.3L ENGINE. FUEL RAIL LEAKING, AT CROSSOVER TUBE CONNECTION. FUEL LEAKING DOWN ONTO VAVLE COVER, WHICH THEN LEAKED ONTO HOT EXHAUST MANIFOLD. MINOR FIRE, BUT THANK GOD I WAS IN MY DRIVEWAY WHEN I SMELLED THE FUEL. OPENING THE HOOD REVEALED THE SMALL FIRE THAT STARTED. THE DODGE DEALER WANTS 300.00 FOR THE PART, AND I FEEL CHRYSLER SHOULD PAY FOR THIS PART SINCE IT IS NOT A "WEAR" ITEM, NOR IS IT A MOVING PART, OR IN A LOCATION PRONE TO WEAR. HAD MY WIFE OR MYSELF BEEN DRIVING AND THE FIRE OCCURED, THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION, AND I WOULD HAVE CONSIDERED A LAW SUIT. ANY HELP YOU CAN PROVIDE ME WOULD BE GREAT. IF YOU CAN PROVIDE A COMPLAINT NUMBER TO CALL FOR CHRYSLER, I WILL DO SO. I FEEL THEY SHOULD AT LEAST PAY FOR THE PART. VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY PARKED, AS I CANNOT LOCATE A USED REPLACEMENT. PROBLEM WITH CHILD SAFETY SEAT. I HAVE THE FISHER PRICE STAY IN VIEW. WHEN THE LEVER IS PULLED TO RELEASE THE SEAT FROM THE BASE, ONE OF THE MECHANISMS WON'T RETRACT ALLOWING YOU TO RELEASE THE SEAT. I HAVE INFORMED THE MANUFACTURER ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. *AK
WAS JUST DRIVING DOWN ROAD FELT LIKE FRONT END WAS FALLING OUT AND STARTED JURKING. TURNED AROUND, HAD TO KEEP PRESSURE ON TRANSMISSION. PAID $1600.00 TO HAVE TRANSMISSION REPLACE.
CAR WOULD NOT START BECAUSE COMPUTER WENT INTO SECURITY MODE (WHILE PARKED), SHUTTING OFF FUEL SUPPLY, ALTHOUGH CAR IS NOT EQUIPPED WITH ELECTRONIC SECURITY SYSTEM. COMPUTER HAD TO BE REPLACED WITH AN O.E.M. COMPUTER DESIGNED TO PREVENT SUCH RANDOM OCCURRANCES, AT MY EXPENSE OF OVER $500 PLUS TOWING CHARGE AND INCONVENIENCE. *AK
VEHICLE WAS HIT BY A CART AND DENTED THE DOOR, CONSUMER SAW ANOTHER CART HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE WHICH DID NOT CAUSE ANY DAMAGE, THE CONSUMER FEELS THAT THE DESIGN OF VEHICLES TODAY ARE WEAK COMPARED TO THE OLDER ONES. *SLC
