WE OWE A 1999 DODGE 1500 QUAD CAB RIGHT AFTER THE MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY WENT OUT THE DASH CAVED IN REALLY BAD. WE BOUGHT ONE FROM A JUNK YARD AND REPLACED IT HOWEVER IT IS CAVING IN NOW. THE GLOVE BOX JUST RECENTLY FELL OUT. THE OVERHEAD BOX THAT HOLDS YOUR GARAGE DOOR OPENER BROKE. I AM JUST WORRIED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THE DASH AND AIRBAGS. I THINK A FORMAL INVESTIGATION NEEDS TO BE DONE BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT OR KILLED. *TR

I HAVE READ AND HEARD ON THE RADIO/TV THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT A LOT OF DODGE OWNERS ARE HAVING IT ISN'T JUST ME. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A PROBLEM WITH THE MATERIALS THAT DODGE IS USING IN THEY'RE PLASTIC AND SHOULD HAVE A RECALL ON THEIR DASHBOARDS. *TR

MUST WAIT FOR VEHICLE TO COOL DOWN BEFORE IT WILL START AGAIN. HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES ON MAJOR HIGHWAYS IN TRAFFIC, AND IT WAS VERY DANGEROUS. *AK

THE BRAKES IN THE 1999 DODGE DURANGO FAILED WHILE TRAILING A Y BOAT. I HAD THE TRUCK FLAT BED TO THE SERVICE STATION. I WAS LUCKY THAT THIS HAPPENED AT THE BOAT RAMP SO NO ACCIDENT OCCURRED AND NO ONE WAS HURT. I HAD TO HAVE THE ENTIRE FRONT AND REAR BRAKE LINES REPLACED. THEY WERE COMPLETELY ROTTED. I DON'T THINK THAT A TRUCK THAT IS 8 YEARS OLD SHOULD HAVE BRAKELINES ROTTED AS BAD AS THESE WERE. THE MECHANIC SAID THEY WERE THE WORST HE HAD EVER SEEN. I HAD HIM SAVE SOME OF THE OLD BRAKELINE FOR ME. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SAFTEY HAZARD, ACTION SHOULD BE TAKEN BEFORE SOMEONE IS BADLY INJURED.*AK

TRUCK BY DODGE. WON'T LET MY 17 YEAR OLD DRIVE THIS VEHICLE FOR FEAR HE WILL DO A NORMAL TAKE OFF AND WILL BE BROADSIDED BY OTHER TRAFFIC WHEN ENGINE DOES NOT RESPOND. WHEN I RECENTLY HAD MY VEHICLE LOOKED OVER BY THE DEALER, I WAS TOLD THAT I NEED NEW BALL JOINTS AGAIN. I DON'T THINK I SHOULD HAVE BEEN EXCLUDED FROM THE INITIAL BALL JOINT RECALL.
