POWER STEERING ON 1992 DODGE 230 XPLORER M.H. VAN. HAD VAN TAKEN TO HEMET CHRYSLER IN HEMET CALIF. AND "THEY" DETERMINED THAT THE STEERING GEAR BOX NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE SERVICE MANAGER AND SERVICE WRITER ADAMANTLY STATE THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE AFTER THEY STATED THEY REPLACED THE BOX....YET....THE STEERING IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS WHEN I HAD THE VEHICLE TAKEN TO THEM. I HAVE SINCE RESEARCHED SEVERAL SITES WITH MUCH INFORMATION THAT CHRYSLER HAS KNOWN FOR YEARS THAT DODGE CARS (DID NOT MENTION MY VAN) HAVE HAD STEERING PROBLEMS AND THOSE PROBLEMS HAVE CAUSED MANY ACCIDENTS AND SOME DEATHS. THE WANDERING AND LOOSENESS AND VERY SLOW TO RETURN CONTINUES PLUS AN ADDED PROBLEM NOTED WHEN THEY RETURNED THE VAN, A SCREAMING OF THE STEERING WHEEL. CHECKED THE FLUID AND FOUND IT CONTINUOUSLY LEAKS FROM DAY ONE OF THE VEHICLE RETURNED TO ME. THE VEHICLE WAS AT THEIR SHOP FOUR TIMES TOTAL. THIS DEALERSHIP HAS ADAMANTLY REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE STEER
