THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED THE BRAKE FAILURE SEVERAL TIMES. THE LOCAL REPAIR SHOP REPLACED THE CALIPERS AND BRAKE PADS FIVE TIMES. WHILE DRIVING MY 1998 DODGE DAKOTA AT 55 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE WHEEL BEARING FAILED, CAUSING THE WHEEL TO BECOME SEPARATED FROM THE BEARING MAKING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. THE RESULTING DAMAGE REQUIRED THE AXLE, BEARING, WHEEL, CV JOINT, CV BOOT, ROTORS AND PADS TO BE REPACED FOR A COST OF $2036. THE TRUCK ONLY HAS 38,500 MILES ON IT.*AK

NOW JUST LESS THAN 2 YEARS LATER I AM RUNNING INTO THE SAME DELEMA. I HAVE SPOKE TO SEVERAL AUTO MECHANICS AND THEY ALL SAY THAT THIS MUST BE A DEFECTED PART. WHEN I NOTIFIED MY DODGE DEALER, HE STATED BECAUSE THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED, I WILL HAVE THE BURDEN OF PAYING ALL THE COST. YET AGAIN THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IN A TRUCK T
