I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY WHEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN A BUNCH OF WARNING LIGHTS STARTED FLASHING ON THE DASHBOARD SO A PULLED OFF THE FREEWAY AND THE MOTOR DIED AND WOULD NOT START AGAIN.. I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW BATTERY AND PUT THAT IN THEN THE ALTERNATOR STARTED SMOCKING AND BURNED OUT SO I BOUGHT A NEW ONE AND PUT THAT IN. I MADE IT ACROSS TOWN ALL LIGHT STARTED FLICKERING AGAIN AND CAR SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. I REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR AGAIN AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO NOW THE CAR IS DEAD!

MY 2010 DODGE CHARGER WAS UNDER RECALL FOR TIMING CHAIN AND CHAIN GUIDE TENSIONER. WE TOOK IT TO A LICENSED GARAGE THAT'S BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR MANY YEARS. THEY SAID THEY ORDERED THE BIGGEST TIMING CHAIN. IT LASTED 6 MONTHS. WE WERE 7 HOURS FROM HOME ON OUR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY VACATION. WHEN THE CHAIN BROKE WE WERE DRIVING SO THERE WAS EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE. THE GARAGE SAID WE NEEDED A NEW ENGINE. IT'S BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR OVER A MONTH BECAUSE THEY CANNOT FIND AN ENGINE THAT WORKS TO THEIR SATISFACTION. SO, MY CAR IS ONLY 7 YRS OLD AND NOW I DON'T TRUST IT. WHY WAS THERE A RECALL IN THE FIRST PLACE? IS THE 3RD TIMING CHAIN GOING TO BRAKE ALSO? I WONDER WHAT'S REALLY WRONG WITH THIS CAR. BAD ENGINEERING?? I WOULD LOVE AN INVESTIGATION TO BE DONE IF POSSIBLE.

THE CYLINDER HEAD ON MY CAR FAILED AT 29,000 MILES AND WAS REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY. LAST WEEK, IT HAPPENED AGAIN. FEBRUARY 2013, 29,000 MILES: THE CAR WAS RUNNING A LITTLE ROUGH, THEN THE MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT (MIL) CAME ON. THE CODE WAS P0305 OR CYLINDER MISFIRE DETECTED - CYLINDER NUMBER 5. PER THE SERVICE INVOICE, "CYLINDER HEAD FAILED. REPLACED HEAD." JULY 2014, 44,000 MILES: AGAIN, THE CAR WAS RUNNING ROUGH, THE MIL WENT ON, AND THE CODE WAS P0305. THE CAR IS BACK AT THE DEALER HAVING THE CYLINDER HEAD REPLACED AGAIN. ALSO UNDER WARRANTY. *TR

I WAS TRAVELING AT A SLOW SPEED AND COMPLETELY LOST POWER BUT WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER TO A PARKING LOT. CAR WAS NOT DRIVABLE AND WAS FLAT-BEDDED TO DEALER. REAR ISOLATOR SNAPPED WITHOUT WARNING. NO IMPACT, ACCIDENT, POT HOLE. JUST SNAPPED AND THE EXHAUST ETC. DROPPED. I WAS THE ONLY DRIVER, SO I KNOW IT WAS TREATED WELL. DEALER STRIPPED UNDERCARRIAGE AND REPLACED REAR CRADLE ASSEMBLY. HERE'S WHAT THE SERVICE INVOICE SAID, "FOUND REAR ISOLATOR SNAPPED (NO IMPACT DAMAGE). HAD TO SECURE CRADLE BEFORE REMOVAL AND DRILL OUT BROKEN ISOLATORS. REPLACED REAR CRADLE ASSEMBLY AND SWAPPED OVER PARTS AS NEEDED." PARTS REPLACED INCLUDED "CROSSMEMBER / CRADLE / MODULE, SUSPENSION, REAR SUBFRAME, FRAME-REAR AXEL." SINCE IT WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY, THEY DIDN'T TELL ME THE COST OF THE REPAIR BUT THE PART ALONE WAS $2,900. DEALER AND DODGE
