THIS MORNING AT 7:58 AM 7.16.2019, MY CAR JUST STOPPED. LOST ALL POWER, COULD NOT STEER, BREAKS BECAME HARD, NO LIGHT CAME ON INDICATING AN ISSUE. I WAS SLOWING DOWN TO GO OVER A SPEED BUMP AND THE CAR JUST STOPPED. I PUT ON MY HAZARDS AND WAITED A MOMENT RESTARTED THE CAR. BEFORE THAT AS I WAS DRIVING THE CAR SEEMED TO FEEL LIKE THE ENGINE WAS FLUTTERING (?) OR LOSING POWER THEN GAINING IT BACK. THAT FLUTTER HAS BEEN HAPPENING ON AND OF FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS, BUT NO LIGHTS HAVE COME ON INDICATING ANY ISSUES WITH THE ENGINE. I HAVE GONE ONLINE AND SEEN MANY, MANY POSTS WITH PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE CAR JUST STOPPING, TAKING IT TO THE DEALER AND DEALER NOT BEING ABOUT TO FIND A CAUSE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE WHERE AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION PRESSURE FLUID WAS LOW AND PROVIDED THE CONTACT WITH THE CODE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 1,668.

TAKATA INFLATORS. I WAS DRIVING DOWN US 41 AT A SPEED OF APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH WHEN MY VAN SUDDENLY REVVED VERY LOUDLY AND ALL SYSTEMS SEEMED TO BEGIN SHUTTING DOWN. I REMOVED MY FOOT FROM THE GAS AND IT CONTINUED TO CLIMB IN RPM'S AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. I WAS ALMOST DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF A CAR REPAIR SHOP SO I BASICALLY COASTED IN THERE AND WAS TOLD I HAD TO BE TOWED TO A TRANSMISSION SHOP. I DID AND WAS TOLD THAT THE TORQUE CONVERTER AND TRANSMISSION PUMP HAD LIKELY FAILED AND THAT THE EXTENT OF THE DAMAGE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED UNTIL THE TRANSMISSION WAS OPENED UP BUT THAT IT WOULD LIKELY REQUIRE A NEW TRANSMISSION. I HAD A SECOND OPINION AT A DIFFERENT SHOP AND WAS TOLD THE SAME THING. THE SHOP OWNER ADVISED ME OF RECALL S44. UPON CONTACTING THE DEALERSHIP THEY SAY MY VIN DOES NOT APPEAR HOWEVER THE ISSUE IS EXACTLY WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH MY VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY UNABLE TO BE DRIVEN AND I AM SEEKING LEGAL COUNSEL.

REAR WINDOW EXPLODED WITHOUT WARNING SENDING SHARDS OF GLASS FORWARD IN THE CAR. CAR WAS TRAVELLING IN RIGHT LANE OF I-95 AT APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH. WE HEARD A LOUD POP AND THEN THE SOUND OF THE SHATTERED SAFETY GLASS PIECES FALLING IN THE REAR OF THE CAR. THERE WAS NO CONSTRUCTION OR STANDING VEHICLES ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY, NO TRAFFIC IMMEDIATELY BEHIND OR NEXT TO US, SO WE DO NOT THINK IT WAS THE RESULT OF ANYTHING STRIKING THE WINDOW. THE PHOTOS WERE TAKEN AFTER RETURNING HOME (ABOUT 50 MILES AFTER THE INCIDENT). THERE WAS INITIALLY A LARGE HOLE, ABOUT 12 INCHES IN DIAMETER, TO THE LEFT OF THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR FOR THE HEATED WINDOW (ON THE RIGHT - SECOND PICTURE). MORE GLASS FELL OUT BETWEEN THE INCIDENT AND THE PHOTO.

THE CONTACT RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND DESCRIBED A JERKING MOTION THAT OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT PULLED TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD AND PLACED THE VEHICLE IN THE REVERSE POSITION; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO REVERSE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO JT'S CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM FIAT (4838 SUNSET BLVD, LEXINGTON, SOUTH CAROLINA 29072, (803) 220-3725) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE WARRANTY COVERAGE EXPIRED ON THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 102,002.

ALSO, THE VEHICLE MADE A HIGH PITCHED NOISE WHEN THE ENGINE WAS REVVED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WEST HILLS CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (900 W HILLS BLVD, BREMERTON, WA 98312, (360) 377-4418) AND THEY REBOOTED THE COMPUTER SYSTEM, WHICH TEMPORARILY CORRECTED THE FAILURE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD OVER 36,000 MILES AND WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE MANUFACTURER ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY AND WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000. *TT CONSUMER STATED VEHICLE IS NOW WORKING DUE TO POWERTRAIN/ TRANSMISSION FAILURE. UPDATED 11/28/18*JB

AIR CONDITIONER ISN'T WORKING PROPERLY. IT DOES BLOW COOL AIR BUT NOT COLD. IL HAVE DIGITAL CLIMATE CONTROL AND WHEN IT WORKS, IT FREEZES ME OUT BUT WHEN THIS HAPPENS, WHICH IS HAPPENING ON A DAILY BASIS... IT WILL NOT GET COLD. THE AIR IT BLOWS IS THE SAME WHETHER MY THERMOSTAT IS SET ON 79 OR 60. NOT SURE WHAT IS GOING ON BUT I READ A LOT OF COMPLAINTS REGARDING THE AC IN THE 2015 DODGE CARAVAN. I'VE ALREADY PAID ALMOST $400 TO GET THE REAR AC FIXED. IT WASN'T BLOWING COLD AND THE FAN WAS GOING IN AND OUT. IF THERE ARE THIS MANY COMPLAINTS, YOU WOULD THINK CHRYSLER WOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! I'VE TRIED CHECKING MY VIN AND IT'S SAYING SOMETHING ABOUT NOT BEING ABLE TO PROCESS IT AT THIS TIME AND TO CONTACT MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP.
