THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.

CONSUMER WAS SITTING INSIDE OF HIS TRUCK AND SMELLED SMOKE. HE WAS LOOKING IN FRONT AND NOTICE THE FIRE WAS COMING FROM THE STEERING SPEEDOMETER . THE FIRE SPREADED TOWARDS THE DASHBOARD/FRONT SEAT, AND THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. BE ADVISED THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED. THE CONSUMER SAID IT WAS THE HEATER SWITCH THAT STARTED THE FIRE. CONSUMER WOULD LIKE TO BE COMPENSATED FOR HIS DAMAGES. *AK *ML
