THE CONSUMER RECEIVED, NHTSA RECALL CAMPAIGN LETTER #04V357000 REGARDING THE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR. HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE ON JUNE 2003, THERE WAS NO DEALERSHIP AVAILABLE IN THE AREA. *JB THE VEHICLE DOOR LOCKS WORKED ERRATICALLY. THE DOOR LOCKS WOULD NOT DISENGAGE WHEN THE CONSUMER VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE, TRAPPING HIM AND HIS KIDS INSIDE THE VEHICLE. *NM

WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH CONSUMER NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER HOOD. PULLED OVER AND SAW ENGINE COMPARTMENT ON FIRE. WAS ABLE TO PUT FIRE OUT. AT THIS TIME CONSUMER WAS WAITING TO HEAR FROM DAEWOO. AMOUNT OF DAMAGE UNKNOWN.*AK
VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION AT 25MPH, AND THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. DEALER AND MANUFACTURER HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK
