TRAVELING AT 55 MPH ON A FREEWAY, ENGINE STOPPED WITH NO NOTICE. SINCE THE ENGINE STOPPED, BRAKES AND STEERING EXPERIENCED GREATLY REDUCED CAPABILITY. I HAD TO STRUGGLE TO GET THE VEHICLE ON TO THE SHOULDER IN ORDER TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT. ONCE STOPPED, I GOT NO RESPONSE OF ANY KIND FROM THE STARTER, ALTHOUGH I HAD POWER TO THE BLOWER MOTOR, RADIO, AND POWER WINDOWS. AFTER 5 MINUTES, I WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR STARTED.I TURNED AROUND TO DRIVE HOME, AND 5 MINUTES LATER THE PROBLEM RECURRED EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED ABOVE. THE VEHICLE IS NOW IN THE SHOP FOR REPAIR AS IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. I PRESUME THAT I AM DEALING WITH A CATASTROPHIC IGNITION SYSTEM FAILURE OF THE TYPE THAT CAUSED GM TO ISSUE IT'S MASSIVE RECALL 5-6 YEARS AGO.

DRIVING AT POSTED SPEED LIMIT, BOTH SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS DEPLOYED CASING A VEHICLE ACCIDENT. IT IS IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND THAT THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED BEFORE THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEFLATE. I TRIED TO PULL THE CAR OVER BUT COULDN'T SEE AROUND THE AIRBAGS AND HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. THE SOUND OF THE AIRBAGS EXPLODING SOUNDED LIKE A SHOTGUN GOING OFF. SINCE THE AIRBAGS NEVER DEFLATED, THE POLICE WOULD NOT LET ME MOVE THE CAR. I HAD IT TOWED TO A GARAGE THAT MY INSURANCE COMPANY SUGGESTED. THEY HOOKED UP A DEVICE TO THE COMPUTER OF THE CAR TO SEE WHY THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. A CODE CAME UP THEY SAID THEY HAD NEVER SEEN, BUT WOULD NOT TELL ME WHAT THE CODE WAS. IT WAS IN THE SHOP FOR 10 DAYS UNTIL THE WHOLE INSIDE OF THE ROOF WAS REPLACED. I PICKED THE TRAILBLAZER UP AND NOW I HAVE A PASSENGER SIDE EXHAUST MANIFOLD LEAK AND A TICK ON THE SAME SIDE. THE REPAIR SHOP SAYS THAT THE AIRBAGS SHOULD NOT HAVE CAUSED IT AND WON'T REPAIR IT. I HAVE READ ON SEVERAL WEBSITES THA
