TWO CRACK HAVE FORMED IN THE DASH SURROUNDING THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. THE VEHICLE WAS NEVER INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT OR ANY OTHER DAMAGE AND THE DASH HAS NEVER BEEN REMOVED.

A NUMBER OF LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES IN ARIZONA ARE CONTINUING TO EXPERIENCE PROBLEMS WITH 2012-2017 CHEVROLET TAHOE PPV'S ON HIGH TEMPERATURE DAYS. THE PROBLEM MANIFESTS ITSELF AT TEMPERATURES ABOVE 100 DEGREES, EXHIBITS LACK OF ACCELERATION PULLING INTO TRAFFIC AND STALLING WHEN BOTH IN MOTION AND SITTING IDLING. THE, ISSUE, FOR THE ORO VALLEY POLICE DEPARTMENT WAS FIRST DIAGNOSED IN THE SUMMER OF 2015 AND INCLUDED VEHICLES IN OUR FLEET FROM 2012'S THROUGH 2015'S. THIS SUMMER, MORE VEHICLES EXHIBITED THE ISSUES TO INCLUDE 2016'S INCLUDING ANOTHER AGENCY'S 2017 THAT BECAME AN ITEM OF DISCUSSION AT A GM CONFERENCE ON FLEET VEHICLES HELD UP IN PHOENIX. GM SPENT APPROXIMATELY A YEAR AND A HALF TRYING TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM TO EVENTUALLY DETERMINE THAT THE FUEL PUMPS NEEDED TO BE REDESIGNED ALONG WITH A NEW HIGH PRESSURE FUEL LINE. WE HAVE HAD SOME VEHICLES RECEIVE THE NEW PUMPS, BUT NOT ALL AS THE ISSUES WENT AWAY AS THE TEMPERATURES WENT BELOW 100. AT THIS DATE WE ARE NOT SURE IF

GM RECALL NUMBER: 16145 INDICATES ENGINE COOLING FAN FIRE IS POSSIBLE AND VEHICLES SHOULD NOT BE LEFT TO IDLE. OUR DEPARTMENT WAS NOTIFIED IN NOVEMBER BUT PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE TO MAKE THE CORRECTION. THIS POLICE DEPARTMENT HAS MANY OF THESE TAHOES AFFECTED AND 3 OF THEM ARE K-9 VEHICLES THAT REQUIRE LONG PERIODS OF IDLING TO KEEP THE K-9 COOL. (I AM SURE THIS IS THE CASE FOR POLICE DEPTS. ACROSS THE US) I HAVE CALLED GM CUSTOMER SERVICE REQUESTING MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE RECALL PARTS PRODUCTION OR IF THERE IS ANYTHING THEY CAN DO FOR OUR K-9 VEHICLES SPECIFICALLY BEFORE THE WEATHER GETS WARMER AND I WAS NOT GIVEN ANY ASSISTANCE. I WAS TOLD THAT I SHOULD CONTINUE TO CHECK THE WEBSITE FOR INFORMATION. THEY GAVE ME A REFERENCE NUMBER TO MY CASE 8-2851903801. *THIS IS THE VIN I USED WHEN CONTACTING GM, NOTE WE HAVE OTHER VEHICLES WE WANT FIXED QUICKLY ALSO. WE HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE YET BUT THIS KNOWN PROBLEM PUTS LAW ENFORCEMENT AT RISK OF LONG RESPONSE TIME AND
