TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1999 CHEVROLET S/T BLAZER EQUIPPED WITH GOODYEAR WRANGLER 105S TIRES, SIZE: P235/75R15. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING WASHED, THE CONTACT NOTICED A LOT OF CRACKS ON THE SIDEWALLS OF ALL FOUR TIRES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 141,000 AND THE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000.

20100410SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC

BRAKE FAILURE DUE TO CORROSION OF BRAKE LINES. HAD TO REPLACE CALIPERS DUE TO PISTON FREEZING FROM CORROSION, AS WELL AS REPLACING ALL BRAKE LINES AFTER BRAKE PETAL TRAVELING ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR WHEN APPLIED. LINE WAS LEAKING ABOVE DRIVERS SIDE REAR WHEEL. WORK COMPLETED AT CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP. *TR

20080824FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP

FUEL PUMP FOR 1999 CHEVY S-BLAZER 4 DR. MODEL. PUMP HAS BEEN REPLACED 4 TIMES WITHIN 8 MOS. FIRST LASTED 7 MOS. SECOND LASTED 4 DAYS, THIRD LASTED 2 WEEKS, SO FAR. WIRING HARNESS HAS BEEN REPLACED AS RECOMMENDED. UPON REPLACEMENT OF THIRD PUMP A NEW RELAY WAS INSTALLED AT THE RECOMMENDATION OF AUTO PARTS STORE. SECOND PUMP REPLACEMENT PRODUCED A TROUBLE CODE (CHECK ENGINE LIGHT) FOR EVAPORATIVE EMISSIONS, WHICH WENT AWAY WITH THE INSTALLATION OF THIRD PUMP. PARTS RETAILER IS STARTING TO GET HESITANT ABOUT REPLACING THIS PART, BUT HAS BEEN AS HELPFUL AS POSSIBLE. I THINK THEY ARE MORE EMBARRASSED ABOUT THIS THAN ANYTHING. PUMP WILL LOSE THE NECESSARY AMOUNT OF PRESSURE THAT THIS APPLICATION REQUIRES. COLD STARTS ARE FINE, BUT ONCE RUNNING AT NORMAL OPERATING TEMP. THE PUMP WILL NOT DELIVER ADEQUATE PRESSURE UNTIL ENGINE WILL EVENTUALLY STALL AND WILL NOT RESTART UNTIL TOTALLY COOLED. ORIGINAL PUMP QUIT ALTOGETHER AT 97,000 MILES, VEHICLE NOW HAS 104,000 MILES AND EACH REPLACEMENT PUMP

20071018EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HAZARD FLASHING WARNING LIGHTS:SWITCH

THE MULTI-FUNCTION TURN SIGNAL SWITCH IS DEFECTIVE AND CAUSES AN AUDIBLE CLICKING NOISE FROM THE DASH. THIS ALSO RESULTS IN THE EXTERIOR TURN SIGNAL LAMPS TO INTERMITTENTLY NOT FUNCTION, DEPENDING ON TEMPERATURE. THE ISSUE IS MORE PREVALENT IN COOLER, COLDER WEATHER. *JB
