TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 EXPRESS G1500. WHILE TAKING THE VEHICLE TO FIRESTONE FOR REGULARLY SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TIE RODS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. SHE TOOK HER VEHICLE BACK TO CHEVROLET AND THEY MADE THE REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TWO MORE TIMES WITHIN THE PAST YEAR TO HAVE THE TIE RODS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE 20 INCH TIRES ON HER VEHICLE WERE OVERSIZED AND CAUSED THE TIE RODS TO FAIL. AS A RESULT, THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT REPLACE THE TIE RODS AFTER THE THIRD REPAIR. THE TIRES ARE THE ORIGINAL TIRES THAT WERE ON THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,709 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 45,000. RECEIVED 12/12/07 64200.
