I DROVE THE CAR APPROXIMATELY 3 MILES, I PULLED IN TO A PARKINGS SPOT, TURNED OFF THE ENGINE, AND EXITED THE VEHICLE. I WALKED ACROSS THE PARKING LOT (ABOUT 20 YARDS) WHEN I HEARD SOMEONE SAY "THAT CAR IS ON FIRE!!!!" I TURNED TO LOOK AND NOTICED THAT IT WAS MY CAR.ACCORDING TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, WHEN THEY PUT THE FIRE OUT THE FIRST TIME, IT FLARED BACK UP DUE TO THE FUEL PUMP STILL PUMPING GAS OUT. (THE KEYS WERE IN MY POCKET). *AK

FIREWALL FRACTURED WHERE THE RACK AND PINION MOUNT , CAUSING SERIOUS STEERING DIFFICULTY. *AK
FIREWALL THAT STEERING IS MOUNTED TO HAD RUSTED, MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO STEER VEHICLE. CONTACTED DEALER, PARTS COULD NOT BE REPLACED.*AK
MY CAR IS MODIFIED TO RUN ON GASOLINE AND NATURAL GAS. *AK
THE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR FAILED WERE AS THE DIAPHRAM HAD A MAJOR LEAK CAUSING GAS TO BE PUMPED THROUGH THE DIAPHRAM DIRECTLY INTO THE THROTTLE BODY. GAS POURED OUT OF THE THROTTLE BODY AND FILLED THE AIR CLEANER HOUSING FULL OF GAS. GAS WAS DRIPPING FROM THE THROTTLE BODY WERE THE DUCT CONNECTED AND LEADS TO THE AIR CLEANER. THIS GAS LEAK WAS LEAKING ONTO THE CROSSOVER OVER EXHUAST PIPE. THE GAS STREAMED OUT OF THE VACUUM PORT OF THE REGULATOR AT A GOOD RATE ONLY WHEN THE IGNITION WAS SWITCHED ON AND THE PUMP CAME ON FOR APPROXIMATLY 5 SECONDS. THE CAR WAS REPEATEDLY TRIED TO START AND THE IGNITION WAS CYCLED OVER TEN TIMES. EACH CYCLING OF THE IGNITION PUMPED OVER A CUP OF GAS INTO THE AIRCLEANER. THE CAR DID NOT HAVE A HEAVY GAS SMELL UNTIL I LOSSENED THE SCREWS OF THE AIRCLEANER TOP AND GAS POURED OUT ALL OVER THE ELECRICAL COMPONENTS BELOW. THIS CAR SHOWED NO PROBLEMS BEFORE THIS HAPPEN. THE CAR WAS BEING DRIVEN ON THE HIGHWAY AND WHEN MY WIFE GOT OFF AND STOPPED AT THE INTERSE
FIREWALL WHERE STEERING RACK IS MOUNTED HAS BROKEN AWAY FROM VEHICLE, CAUSING LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS.*AK
WHILE DRIVING WITH THE HEADLIGHTS ON AND TURNING TO THE RIGHT, THE CONSUMER CAN NOT DIM THE LIGHTS WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE IS APPROACHING UNLESS THE WHEEL IS TURNED BACK TO STARTING POSITION, THE DIMMER ALSO HITS THE STEERING WHEEL. NLM
FOUR BOLTS ATTACHING REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY WERE LOOSE CAUSING BRAKE LINE TO FAIL AT BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY. THIS RESULTED IN LOSS OF BRAKE FLUID AND DIMINISHED BRAKING. VEHICLE WAS STOPPED PRIOR TO TOTAL DEPLETION OF BRAKE FLUID.
FOUR BOLTS ATTACHING REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY WERE LOOSE CAUSING BRAKE LINE TO FAIL AT BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY. THIS RESULTED IN LOSS OF BRAKE FLUID AND DIMINISHED BRAKING. VEHICLE WAS STOPPED PRIOR TO TOTAL DEPLETION OF BRAKE FLUID.
WITHIN 16 MONTHS HAVE HAD TO REPLACE LEFT REAR BRAKE DRUM 3 TIMES BECAUSE THE DRUM GETS WARPED OUT OF ROUND. THE MECHANIC HAS INDICATED THAT ON THAT PARTICULAR GM STYLE CAR, THIS HAS BEEN A COMMON PROBLEM, INDICATING THAT THE PARTS MAY NOT HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURED WITH SUFFICIENT STRENGTH TO WITHSTAND THE BRAKING. THE LAST OF THE 3 TIMES WAS ONLY 3 WEEKS AFTER THE PREVIOUS REPLACMENT.*AK
WHEN APPLYING BRAKES IN AN EMERGENCY ON WET PAVEMENT ABS SYSTEM FAILED TO ACTIVATE, CAUSING A COLLISION TO OCCUR. *AK THE ABS TEST WHENEVER THE VEHICLE IS STARTED SHOWS THAT THE ABS IS WORKING BUT WHEN DRIVING, THE ABS FAILS. *YH

WAS MAKING A LEFT HAND TURN WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE HIT CONSUMER'S VEHICLE ON DRIVER'S SIDE & CAUSED VEHICLE TO SLIDE DOWN THE ROAD ONTO OTHER SIDE OF STREET. UPON IMPACT, DRIVER'S AIR BAG FAILED TO DEPLOY. DRIVER HIT HEAD ON STEERING WHEEL. PASSENGER WAS UNINJURED. BOTH HAD ON SEAT BELTS. NO EMERGENCY ROOM TREATMENT. *AK
I HAVE NOTICED SINCE THE CAR WAS NEW,THAT WHILE TURNING ,UNABLE TO SWITCH HEADLIGHTS FROM LOW BEAMS TO HIGH BEAMS.I FEEL THIS CAN BE SOMEWHAT DANGEROUS, ESPECIALLY WHEN GETTING OFF AN INTERSTATE EXIT RAMP. *AK
WHILE DRIVING WITH HEADLIGHTS ON & GOING AROUND CURVY ROAD, CANNOT SWITCH FROM HI-BEAM TO LOW BEAM. THIS CAUSES POOR VISIBILITY TO OTHER DRIVERS AT THAT TIME. WILL BE TAKING VEHICLE TO DEALER. *AK
