THERE IS FUEL LEAKING FROM MY GAS CAP, EVERYTIME I FILL IT UP WITH GAS IT LEAKS OUT THE SIDE. IT'S BEEN RUINING MY PAINT ON THE INSIDE TOO. IT LEAKS WHEN I START DRIVING.

TO REPAIR, BUT NO GUARANTEE, MAYBE 30 DAYS THATS IT ON THAT TYPE OF PROBLEM.. THEY SAY IT IS BEST TO BUY A NEW CAR.I NEED A CAR BUT I AM LIVING OFF SS. WHAT CAN I DO ? HELP

I HAVE A 1992 CAMARO RS, 5.0 LITER ENGINE, THERE IS A SAFETY RECALL ON THE FILLER TUBE FOR THE GAS TANK , LOOSE SOLDER JOINTS ETC. I TOOK IT TO A LOCAL CHEVY DEALER HERE IN TALLAHASSEE, DROPPED IT OFF THE NIGHT BEFORE THEY LOOKED AT IT. I GOT A CALL AT 8:12 THE NEXT MORNING, WHICH WAS ONLY 12 MINUTES AFTER THEY HAD STARTED WORK SAYING THEY COULD NOT GET THE PARTS TO FIX IT, BECAUSE THEIR SERVICE MANAGER SAID THE CAR WAS TO OLD AND THEY WOULD HAVE TO CALL THE MANUFACTURER. SO I ASKED WHY IT WAS THAT I COULD GO TO THE LOCAL AUTO PARTS AND BUY THEM AND IF THEY WERE NOT WILLING TO FIX IT , I WOULD CALL THE NHTSA AND TALK TO THEM. HE QUICKLY CHANGED HIS TUNE AND SAID " OH NO DON'T DO THAT WE WILL FIND THE PARTS". SO ROUGHLY AT 3:00 PM THAT AFTERNOON I RECEIVED ANOTHER CALL FROM THE DEALER, SAYING" YOUR INSPECTION IS COMPLETE, WE DID NOT FIND ANY PROBLEMS". WHICH REALLY DIDN'T SURPRISE ME THAT HE SAID THAT DUE TO THE FACT THEY NEVER WANTED TO FIX SUCH AN OLD CAR TO BEGIN WITH. I AM NOT A M
