The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V433000 (PARKING BRAKE); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

While driving, most often at dawn/dusk and commonly with cruise control engaged, the vehicle will falsely detect a vehicle ahead when none is present. I was pulling out of my parents' driveway with my sister, who is almost 7 months pregnant in the passenger seat. Before we could get down the driveway, my car VIOLENTLY slammed itself into park to the point that I was convinced I had to have hit someone. My son was driving in stop and go traffic on I-95 and he rear-ended another car. No safety features activated: i.e. dash warning lights, audible noise, auto breaking. Recall N252503010 / 25V433 – 2024 Chevy Blazer EV. Dealer cleared my VIN after only a visual “inspection” and later applied software updates. The official remedy requires rerouting/taping or replacing the brake harness, not software. My VIN was falsely marked “recall complete” while the safety defect remains unresolved.

The glare on the windshield for the Blazer EV is terrible when driving toward the sun. It makes it hard to see and unsafe.

Blinker arm often bounces back to the opposite direction when the blinker automatically cancels once you have made your turn. As an example if I have left blinker on after I complete my turn it often bounces back over to the right side turning the right blinker for a few flashes.

The vehicle has engaged the brake on multiple occasions unexpectedly. This is related to the recent recall that GM announced and is unable to repair. I have made multiple attempts to reach GM through written mail, phone, X and the BBB and have not received a satisfactory resolution as the safety issue persists.
