Within that volume, owners reported 2 crashes, 0 fires, 0 injuries, and 0 fatalities. No NCAP 5-star crash-test rating is available for this model year in the federal database.

Component-level analysis is where model-year complaints become actionable: the top complaint category for the 2007 BLAZER is fuel system, gasoline with 5 filings, followed by exterior lighting (2) and fuel system, other:storage:fuel gauge system (1). Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability.

NHTSA currently has 57 investigation files overlapping the 2007 BLAZER, and 2 remain open. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. Use the related-complaint feed below to read raw owner narratives before deciding whether any pattern here affects your specific use case.

THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT SIMULTANEOUSLY WHILE I WAS DRIVING AT NIGHT. I PROCEEDED TO THE AUTO PARTS STORE, BOUGHT NEW BULBS AND CHANGED THEM OUT BUT THEY STILL DID NOT COME ON. ALL OTHER LIGHTS ARE WORKING INCLUDING THE HIGH BEAMS. I SEE THERE ARE RECALLS FOR THE SAME PROBLEM LISTED ONLINE FOR 2007 TB'S BUT WHEN I CHECKED WITH GM/BUICK I WAS INFORMED THAT MY VIN WAS NOT LISTED IN THE RECALL DUE TO IT NOT BEING ON THE PRODUCTION LINE AT A CERTAIN PLANT. YET WITH FURTHER RESEARCH THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER TB OWNERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE AS THE RECALLED VIN'S WHICH SHOULD SHOW THIS IS A PARTS ISSUE. I WAS REFERRED TO THE DEALERSHIP BY GM/BUICK A DIAGNOSTIC OF WHICH I WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR BECAUSE MY VEHICLE WAS ON A DIFFERENT PRODUCTION LINE FOR A PART THAT CLEARLY APPEARS TO BE DEFECTIVE! *TR

GAGE BECAME ERRATIC, NOT ACCURATELY REFLECTING AMOUNT IN THE TANK, READ FULL WHEN NOT...LOW FUEL LITE CAME ON WHEN THERE WAS FUEL IN THE TANK, SOME TIME WHEN STARTED IT REFLECTS, WE THINK ACCURATELY, THEN THE NEXT TIME DOES NOT-STAYS ON FULL AND OVER 30 MINUTES MAY GRADUALLY EASE ITS WAY DOWN. I HAVE 3 FRIENDS AT WORK WITH SAME ISSUE, SAME VEHICLE. *TR

THE GAS GAUGE ON OUR 2007 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER HAS STOPPED WORKING. THIS NEARLY CAUSED AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE SUDDENLY I THOUGHT I WAS LEAKING GAS ON THE FREEWAY AFTER RECENTLY FILLING UP. THE CAR IS 3 YEARS AND 2 MONTHS OLD WITH 42,000 MILES. THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON DEFECT JUDGING BY THE COMPLAINTS ON THE INTERNET. CHEVY/GM WILL NOT PROVIDE ANY ASSISTANCE IN FIXING THIS KNOWN DEFECT OTHER THAN CHARGING $800+. *TR
