I WOULD LIKE TO REPORT A TIRE TREAD SEPARATION AND BLOW OUT ON A UNI ROYAL TIGER PAW XTM, P235/75 R15 TIRE WITH 3/16" TREAD REMAINING. THE DOT IS AVHL AA 481. OTHER NUMBERS ON THE TIRE ARE: ITEM 4165, E24405, D117C, 89C, 89B, 89A, 3452. THE TIRE FAILED ON JULY 26 AT ABOUT 10:00 PM AT THE INTERSECTION OF I255 AND I70 NORTHEAST OF ST. LOUIS. THE TIRE ORIGINALLY WAS ON A NEW 1992 CHEVROLET C1500 AND FOR THE LAST FIVE YEARS HAS BEEN ON A 16 FOOT TANDEM AXLE TRAILER WITH 3500 POUND AXLES. THE TIRE HAS NEVER BEEN RUN LOW, NOR OVERLOADED, NOT RUN HOT. AT THE TIME OF FAILURE THE TIRE WAS RELATIVELY COOL CONSIDERING THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE. THE TIRE FAILED WITH A 3 FOOT SECTION OF THE TREAD SEPARATING FROM THE TIRE EXPOSING THE STEEL BELT WHICH THEN SEPARATED AND CAUSE A SIDEWALL TO SIDEWALL RUPTURE OF THE TIRE WITH A SUDDEN LOSS OF THE AIR PRESSUE. THE CAUSE OF FAILURE WAS DUE TO FAILURE OF THE VULCANIZATION OF THE TREAD TO THE TIRE. THERE IS A SECTION AT THE EDGE OF THE TREAD THAT IS L
WINDSHIELD WIPERS WORK INTERMITTENTLY, WHEN TAPPING ON WIPER HARNESS MOTOR THEY WILL COME BACK ON. WHEN YOUR DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AND WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOP OPERATING ITS VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE DRIVER CAN GET TO THAT WIPER MOTOR FROM INSIDE OF CAR.*AK *JB
THE VEHICLES BENCH SEAT ROCKS BACK AND FORTH EXCESSIVELY, THE CONSUMER NOTICED A CRACK IN EACH OF THE SEAT RAILS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE SEAT, THE CONSUMER WANTS THE MANUFACTURER TO REPLACE THE BROKEN RAILS. NLM
ORIGINAL TIRES ON A CHEVROLET, 1500, 1992, GOODYEAR HT, P23575R15 FRONT END WAS JUMPING REALLY BADLY. A MECHANIC SAID THAT 2 REAR TIRES TREAD WAS SEPARATING. *AK CONSUMER HAS REPLACED A TOTAL OF 7 GOODYEAR HT TIRES DUE TO VIBRATION. *SLC
WHILE GOING DOWN THE ROAD PASSENGER SIDE SEAT FELL ALL THE WAY BACK, AND BROKE THE CABLE THAT RELEASES THE LATCH. OWNER LATER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE, BUT DEALER REFUSED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE BECAUSE IT REQUIRED MORE THAN JUST BOLTS TO BE INSTALLED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 40MPH LEANED BACK ON DRIVER'S SEAT AND THE SEATBACK COLLAPSED. HAD IT REPAIRED BY LOCAL MECHANIC. DIDN'T CONTACT DEALER OR MANUFACTURER. *AK
I AM EXPERIENCING PAINT DELAMINATION ON THIS VEHICLE. FROM THE INFORMATION I HAVE GATHERED THIS IS LIKELY TO HAVE AN EFFECT UPON WINDSHIELD RETENTION DURING IMPACT. I REQUESTED THAT CHEVROLET REMOVE ALL GLASS AND TRIM, REMOVE TRUCK BED, STRIP ALL PAINT DOWN TO BARE METAL AND REPAINT WITH PPG PRODUCTS. I HAVE ALSO REQUESTED THAT CHEVROLET PAY FOR A SUITABLE RENTAL VEHICLE DURING REPAIR. I AM ALSO IN POSSESION OF THEIR TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN 92-300-10 DATED 10-92 PROVING THAT CHEVROLET WAS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM BEFORE THEY SOLD ME THE TRUCK. I HAVE ALSO UNCOVERED THE FACT THAT THERE MAY BE A NHTSA SAFETY RECALL CONCERNING WINDSHIELD RETENTION PROBLEMS BECAUSE OF PAINT DELAMINATION. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU FIND CONCERNING THIS COMPLAINT. THANK YOU!
RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE & CONTACTED DEALER. TOOK VEHICLE IN ON DATE GIVEN. WAS INFORMED BY MECHANIC MORE PARTS WERE NEEDED. HAD SEATS REPAIRED AFTER PARTS CAME IN. THE BACK OF THE SEAT COULD NOT BE MOVED FORWARD/BACKWARDS. THE SEAT REPAIRED UNDER RECALL HAD FAILED AGAIN. *AK

WIFE HIT THE KNOB TO ADJUST THE DRIVER'S SIDE POWER SEAT SMOKE FILLED THE COMPARTMENT. ALL THE WIRING ON THE SEAT CAUGHT ON FIRE. *AK
WHILE DRIVING PASSENGER'S SIDE SEATBACK COLLAPSED, CAUSING INJURIES TO WIFE. DEALER WAS PREVIOUSLY NOTIFIED, AND THE PROBLEM WAS SUPPOSED TO BE RESOLVED. THIS PART WAS PREVIOUSLY REPLACED ON A GM RECALL, DEALER TRIED TO GET GM TO REPAIR BUT THEY REFUSED. OWNER REPAIRED SEAT HIMSELF. *ML
