Component-level analysis is where model-year complaints become actionable: the top complaint category for the 2025 ENVISTA is electrical system with 11 filings, followed by unknown or other (6) and engine (4). Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability.
NHTSA currently has 1 investigation file overlapping the 2025 ENVISTA. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. The vehicleâs infotainment/display screen (center touchscreen system) malfunctions. The screen flickers, freezes, becomes unresponsive, and frequently fails to connect. The malfunction creates a safety concern because the screen controls critical functions such as navigation, rear-view camera display, Bluetooth/phone connectivity, and vehicle settings. When the screen freezes or flickers, I am unable to safely access navigation or hands-free phone features, causing distraction while driving and increasing the risk of an accident. The issue has occurred repeatedly during normal vehicle operation. There were no warning lamps prior to the malfunction. Symptoms include screen flickering, freezing, delayed response, and loss of connectivity. These symptoms began intermittently and have progressively become more frequent over time.
On August 13, 2025, I purchased the 2025 Buick Envista from DeMontrond in Houston, Texas, for $31,000.00, with a down payment of $12,000. The car is a gift to my grandson who recently graduated from college and starting a job at the Emory University Hospital. On September 6, 2025, the car had to be taken to be repaired due to a âfuel filler pipe leakingâ. I didnât expect that a brand-new car would need to be repaired for something that seems to be dangerous. The fuel filler pipe is crucial for the safe and efficient transfer of fuel to the vehicle's tank. It connects the fuel cap to the fuel tank, ensuring that fuel flows properly without spills or leaks. A leaking fuel filler pipe can lead to fuel vapors escaping, which can be dangerous and illegal in most states. It can also cause issues with the vehicle's EVAP system, leading to diagnostic trouble codes related to fuel vapor leaks. I contacted General Motors Consumer Department and sent a letter to Mr. Mark Reuss, President of
The infotainment system blacks out intermittently. The speakers will go out along with the infotainment. This has happened on several occasions I have pictures that are dated and time stamped. All the lights on the infotainment went out to include the odometer as I was operating the vehicle. I first thought the vehicle cut off then moments later the infotainment turns on and the speakers and odometer is working again. This has happened intermittently on multiple occasions. The vehicle has gone to the dealer 3 times but they are stating they canât duplicate. So they can not fix it and issue is not resolved.

The contact owns a 2025 Buick Envista. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. While driving at an undisclosed speed and depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle jerked abnormally before coming to a complete stop. The failure also occurred while attempting to accelerate after stopping at a stop light or a stop sign. The were abnormal grinding sounds intermittently coming from the vehicle while driving at various speeds. The infotainment center also overheated and blacked out intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed that the sensor was moist after the vehicle had been on the lot for a while. The vehicle was not repaired. The failures persisted. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 700. The VIN was not available.

ON [XXX], (SUNDAY) AFTER DRIVING TO AN EAST LANSING, MI RESTAURANT & SPENDING 1-1/2 HOURS EATING BREAKFAST, I TURNED MY CAR ON AT ABOUT [XXX], AND RECEIVED AN ERROR MESSAGE ON THE DASHBOARD THAT THE POWER STEERING WAS NOT FUNCTIONING. I TRIED BACKING UP, THEN DRIVING FORWARD 3-4 TIMES & THE ISSUE WAS CONFIRMED. I ALSO TURNED THE CAR OFF & ON SEVERAL TIMES WITH THE SAME ERROR MESSAGE APPEARING. I CALLED ON STAR AND THE DIAGNOSTIC TESTS WERE ALL NEGATIVE FOR ISSUES. MY CALL TO ON STAR GOT DISCONNECTED. I TURNED MY CAR OFF. WHEN I TURNED IT BACK ON, THE POWER STEERING WAS WORKING. ON STAR CALLED ME BACK & I REPORTED THAT THE POWER STEERING WAS NOW APPARENTLY WORKING. I THEN DROVE, VERY APPREHENSIVELY, OVER 100 MILES TO MY HOME IN GRAND HAVEN, MI WITH NO PROBLEMS. THIS COULD HAVE PROVED DEADLY IF MY POWER STEERING HAD FAILED DURING THE DRIVE. ON [XXX], (SUNDAY), AT 3:22PM EST, I RECEIVED , IN MY EMAIL, MY SEPTEMBER 'DIAGNOSTIC' REPORT THAT MY ANTILOCK BRAKING SYSTEM HAS AN ALERT

Only had car since March and already had 2 issues. First, I had a check engine light in early May and took it to the shop and the problem was identified as a cracked fuel pipe. Had to wait almost 3 weeks for the park to finally get delivered to the dealership and was able to get fixed on 6/12/25. Then on 7/17/25 check engine light came on again. According to the Buick app, it was coming from my emission/evap system again. Took it the dealership on 7/21/25 and as of 7/27/25 it is still in the shop and they were unable to determine what is causing it. They have reached out to GMC which told them to do a ECU program reset which still didnât rectify the issue. Already has been in the shop for a week now.
Vehicle: 2025 Buick Envista Incident Date: July 19, 2025 I purchased a brand-new 2025 Buick Envista in June, 2025 and owned it for just over a month when the brakes suddenly and completely failed while I was driving on the highway. As I exited the ramp and attempted to slow down, the brake pedal went soft and unresponsive. I had no ability to stop my vehicle, and in a moment of panic, I swerved into a curb to avoid hitting other cars or pedestrians. This caused damage to my rim and tire, but thankfully I avoided a major crash or injury. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership, where they diagnosed a master cylinder failure. The car is currently being repaired under warranty, but I no longer feel safe driving it. I suffer from anxiety and have been experiencing panic attacks and nightmares since the incident. I am deeply afraid of getting back into a car that nearly killed me. This is a brand-new vehicle and a brake failure of this magnitude should never happen â let alone within

Vehicle: 2025 Buick Envista Sport Touring Mileage: Under 5,082 miles Issue: Rear side window trim detachment I am reporting a rear window trim detachment that occurred after my 2025 Buick Envista Sport Touring went through a brushless automatic car wash. The driver-side rear window trim completely detached, and the passenger side is now partially detached. The detached piece was found inside the wash tunnel, confirming it came off during the wash. The trim is made of thin black metal and has sharp edges. The remaining trim is at risk of detaching during normal highway use, especially since I live near railroad crossings, and drive in Florida weather conditions including heavy rain, humidity, and heat. Automatic car washes operate at 1,000â1,200 psi, far exceeding any natural wind or rain conditions. This shows that the trimâs adhesive is not strong enough for routine car maintenance, even when used as intended. There was no warning in the ownerâs manual advising against automa
I have not yet taken it to be checked. I will soon. The rearview camera has gone out completely, it still beeps if I am too close to something. Sometimes the infotainment screen does like a crossover screen malfunction type of issue. This put myself and others at risk because I rely on the camera and although it beeps, I still would not be able to see what is behind me. There was nothing the warned or indicated there was an issue. This is a brand new vehicle so not even sure why this would have occurred on such a newer vehicle.
