THE EXPLANATION I RECEIVED FROM BUICK ON MY FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR LEAK RECALL PROBLEM I HAD WITH MY BUICK LESABRE. THEY HAVE REFUSED TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEM OF THE CAR BACK FIRING, NOR AN EXPLANATION OF A COINCIDENTAL GASKET LEAK WHICH ALLOWED COOLANT IN THE FUEL, NOR THE REASON FOR THE REST OF THE REPAIRS MADE TO MY CAR, SUCH AS REPLACING FUEL INJECTORS. SPARK PLUGS, ETC. ALL HAD REPAIR WORK. NOR WOULD HE ADDRESS THE FACT THAT HE NOR DAVE AT HENDRICK HAVE SEEN A VEHICLE THAT HAS HAD DAMAGE FROM THE RESULTING BACK FIRE FROM THE FUEL LEAKING FROM THE RECALLED PART. DAVE AT HENDRICK TOLD ME HE HAS NEVER TAKEN ONE OUT THAT LEAKED, SO I REALLY RESENT THE FACT THAT THEY DON'T BELIEVE ME WHEN I TELL THEM IT BACKFIRED!! I HAD THIS PROBLEM ON FRIDAY AND CALLED THEM MONDAY AFTER THE CAR WOULD NOT START AFTER THE BACK FIRE ON FRIDAY NIGHT, BECAUSE IT WAS LATE FRIDAY NIGHT AND I DIDN'T THINK THEY WOULD BE OPEN OVER THE WEEKEND. I CONTEND THAT MY VEHICLE DAMAGE WAS A RESULT OF THE FAULTY PARTS, W

BRITAX'S SHOULDER PAD KIT USED IN THE SAFETY RECALL FOR MODEL 161 CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEM IS FLAWED. THE FIX IS NOT COMFORTABLE FOR CHILDREN AND MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO PUT CHILDREN IN THE SAFETY SEAT INCREASING PROBABILITY THAT IT WILL NOT BE USED CORRECTLY. THE BEAUTY OF THE BRITAX 161 WAS THAT IT WAS COMFORTABLE FOR CHILDREN AND EASY TO SEAT CHILDREN AND PROPERLY AND SAFELY ADJUST. THE RECAL FIX CHANGES THE BASIC DESIGN. BRITAX NEEDS TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE MODLED PARTS SO THAT CUSTOMERS HAVE THE SAFE, USABLE PRODUCT THEY PURCHASED, NOT THIS HALF BAKED CHEAP REDESIGN WHICH ALTHOUGH MAY BE SAFE IS NOT EASY TO USE, IS DISCOMFORTABLE FOR CHILDREN AND NOT THE HIGH END PRODUCT I BOUGHT. A PROPER FIX IS ONE THAT IS TRANSPARENT TO THE USER. IF I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY PINTO, A PROPER FIX IS NOT DRIVE A VEGA.*AK
