Component-level analysis is where model-year complaints become actionable: the top complaint category for the 2006 CONTINENTAL FLYING SPUR is suspension:front with 1 filings, followed by tires (1) and wheels (1). Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability. This model year has 2 active recall campaigns, which means the manufacturer is obligated to remedy the covered defect at no charge for the life of the vehicle — the full NHTSA campaign numbers are listed below.
No open NHTSA investigation overlaps the 2006 CONTINENTAL FLYING SPUR in the current dataset. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. BENTLEY IS RECALLING 13,420 MY 2004-2008 CONTINENTAL GT, CONTINENTAL GT SPEED, CONTINENTAL FLYING SPUR, AND CONTINENTAL GTC VEHICLES. THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR ROAD SALT TO CORRODE THE OUTER SURFACE OF THE FUEL FILTER. THIS COULD LEAD TO THE FILTER HOUSING BECOMING POROUS WITH A CORRESPONDING FUE
AIR BAGS
BENTLEY IS RECALLING 4 MY 2004 AND 2006 CONTINENTAL GT AND CONTINENTAL FLYING SPUR VEHICLES. THE REPLACEMENT AIR BAG TRIMMED COVERS HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURED WITH TETHERS OF AN INCORRECT LENGTH.
I HAVE OWNED 4 OF THESE BENTLEY FLYING SPURS (2006-2010) AND ALL OF THEM HAVE FOGGY WINDOWS IN THE QUARTER PANAL WINDOWS (THE SMALLER WINDOWS BEHIND THE PASSENGER DOOR WINDOWS. THEY HAVE A FOG AROUND THEM AND I CANNOT SEE OUT OF THEM AND IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND CONCERN. WHY HAS BENTLEY NEVER FIXED THIS ISSUE AND INSTALLED SUCH CHEAP GLASS? YOU CANNOT FIX THIS WITHOUT TAKING OUT THE GLASS AND REPLACING IT. I CANNOT SEE OUT OF MINE AND ENDED UP SIDE SWIPING THE CAR COMING UP ON THE SIDE OF ME. IT IS EXTREMELY UNFAIR AND DANGEROUS AND PUT MY CHILD'S LIFE IN DANGER.
