On [XXX], the vehicles safety systems (emergency braking, cross traffic warning, forward collision warning) failed to function allowing the vehicle to hit a cross traffic vehicle in a parking lot. The safety system failed again after the first collision allowing the vehicle to continue driving forward to hit a second parked vehicle. Details of the incident is available by Geico claim [XXX]. The safety systems failed to mitigate a human error as they were designed to do. The consequence would have been more devastating had a person instead of a vehicle crossed in front.
