WE WERE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE HIGHWAY AND THE VEHICLE SEEMED TO BE RUNNING FINE. AFTER GETTING OFF OF THE INTERSTATE HIGHWAY, WE APPROACHED AN INTERSECTION TO TURN LEFT. I SLOWED DOWN TO TURN THE CORNER AND THE VEHICLE STALLED IN AN INTERSECTION WITHOUT WARNING. AFTER 5 MINUTES OF TRYING TO START THE VEHICLE AND GET OTHER VEHICLES TO GO AROUND, I WAS ABLE TO LIMP THE VEHICLE OVER INTO A PARKING LOT. WE GOT THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS LATER TOLD BOTH TURBO CHARGERS HAD FAILED.

VEHICLE STALLED IN TRAFFIC, RANDOMLY, WITH NO OTHER WARNING SIGNS. SUBSEQUENT ATTEMPTS TO RE-START THE CAR FAILED. CAR NEEDED TO BE PUSHED OUT OF TRAFFIC AND TOWED TO DEALERSHIP. DISCOVERED THAT THERE WAS A TURBOCHARGER FAILURE IN ONE BANK (DRIVER'S SIDE) THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BUT WAS ADVISED THAT THERE WAS A TSB FOR THIS ISSUE FROM AUDI AS A RESULT OF A CLOGGED OIL SCREEN THAT LED TO OIL STARVATION AND EVENTUAL CATASTROPHIC FAILURE OF THE TURBOCHARGER ASSEMBLY.
