FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:DELIVERY:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS
VOLKSWAGEN IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011-2012 AUDI R8 SPYDER VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM MAY 18, 2010, THROUGH JUNE 22, 2011. THE FUEL SUPPLY LINE MAY CONTACT AND RUB AGAINST THE HEAT SHIELD IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THIS COULD LEAD TO A SMALL FUEL LEAK.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 AUDI R8 SPYDER. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 10 MPH WHEN THE REAR DRIVER SIDE LOWER CONTROL ARM FRACTURED, CAUSING THE CONTACT TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER HOWEVER, THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE DEALER REPLACED ALL FOUR LOWER CONTROL ARMS ON THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,366. *JS
