The 2019ALFA ROMEOGIULIA carries 53 consumer safety complaints in NHTSA's Office of Defects Investigation database for this specific model-year cohort. Within that volume, owners reported 12 crashes, 0 fires, 8 injuries, and 0 fatalities. For crash performance, NHTSA's New Car Assessment Program gave this cohort an overall Not Rated/5 rating, with Not Rated/5 front crash, Not Rated/5 side crash, and Not Rated/5 rollover scores derived from standardized barrier and dynamic tests.

Component-level analysis is where model-year complaints become actionable: the top complaint category for the 2019 GIULIA is fuel/propulsion system with 13 filings, followed by engine (10) and electrical system (5). Concentration in one or two component groups is the classic signature of a systemic defect; a flat distribution usually reflects normal aging, warranty complaints, or isolated build-plant variability. This model year has 7 active recall campaigns, which means the manufacturer is obligated to remedy the covered defect at no charge for the life of the vehicle — the full NHTSA campaign numbers are listed below.

NHTSA currently has 1 investigation file overlapping the 2019 GIULIA. Owners comparing this cohort against neighboring years should pair the counters above with the complaint-by-year trend on the parent model page — a spike in a single year often tracks to a platform refresh, a new transmission supplier, or an updated ECU calibration. Use the related-complaint feed below to read raw owner narratives before deciding whether any pattern here affects your specific use case.

The contact pulled over to the side of the road, turned off, and restarted the vehicle; however, there was a delay before the vehicle reached 35 MPH while driving. The contact stated that after refueling the vehicle, the warning lights turned off. The failure reoccurred whenever the fuel level was low. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the failure was related to the fuel pump, but the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. Twice now, my 2019 Giulia, which only has 27,100 miles, has flashed a check engine light and a "flash/lighting" symbol while driving at highway speeds. When this happened, the vehicle's throttle became unresponsive. This resulted in a sudden power loss--the accelerator would not respond to input, which creates a huge safety issue. I had it towed as I did not want to cause an accident. My trusted mechanic ran the diagnostic code (P008a) which indicated low pressure from the fuel pump. This is addressed in recall numbers 93C (Manufacturer) and 25V-586 (NHTSA). However, NHTSA does not show any active recalls for my vehicle VIN. My local dealership indicated this is because Alfa Romeo has not distributed the correct parts to the dealerships. Alfa Romeo customer service said this is incorrect. I am stuck with an unsafe and unreliable vehicle due to the precise recall item that Alfa Romeo says does not apply to my vehicle.

There is an open safety recall on my vehicle since September 2025 with no updates on when a remedy will be available from Stellantis. The issue is that fuel supply to the engine can be cut off causing the vehicle to lose power unexpectedly and go LOMP. I cannot drive the vehicle in this state because it is dangerous if the engine were to cut off unexpectedly at highway speeds, especially since I have a baby. Safety recall information: Issue date: Sep 09, 2025 Manufacturer Recall Number: 93C NHTSA Recall Number: 25V-586 Recall Status: Recall Incomplete, remedy not yet available It is unacceptable that Stellantis have still not provided a remedy or an ETA to fix the problem even after 4 months. My car is sitting idly in the garage and I'm paying hundreds of dollars every month in loan and insurance costs without being able to drive. I have called my dealership several times and they don't have an update from the manufacturer yet either. I would like to make a formal complaint against

Car suddenly got p018c & p018b codes along with (setc) notification while on freeway and continuously would go in and out of limp mode when accelerating or breaking which nearly caused me to crash. when arriving home I check my fuel pump relay and it looked burnt or overheated, I tried replacing sensors as well as relays but the problem remains whenever accelerating or breaking at low speed now, just without the check engine light.

My car would not accelerate. “Electronic Throttle Warning” and my “auto start stop” lights popped up on dashboard. Dealer claimed it was something else, had me pay and the problem is still occurring. They cannot figure it out I think it’s the recall and they tell me they’re unsure. My car has a recall in which all these things happen with the recall but they keep saying it’s not.

My engine shut off and I was entering my driveway. All the electric was fine. The vehicle would no longer start. I towed it to the dealer and was told that the fuel pump and a module for the fuel pump would have to be replaced. The dealer cannot find the part anywhere because it is on back order. Apparently this is happening a lot. This should be investigated for a safety recall due to it happening while I was driving.

When traveling at approximately 40 mph, the vehicle displayed a service electronic throttle control warning. Turned on the engine light, then after 1 second the vehicle shut off while in motion with no warning. This disabled all power including brakes and power steering. After clearing engine code vehicle worked for around 20 minutes before repeating while idle in my driveway. Engine code displayed is p008a. (Low fuel pressure)

I was in an accident on 7/25/2024, my vehicle was completely stopped and pulled over. The impact occurred when another vehicle, traveling at around 35 mph or less (the posted speed limit), struck my vehicle with significant force, the rear suspension of my structural frame of my vehicle was severely damaged. Given the intensity of the collision and the resulting damage, I’m concerned that none of my airbags did not deploy, despite the damage being substantial. In light of this information and my vehicle being totaled loss, I have a few additional follow-up questions: 1. Since my vehicle was stationary at the time of impact and the other vehicle was moving at a considerable speed, could the lack of deceleration on my part have influenced the airbag system’s response? How does the system account for impacts where the struck vehicle is at a complete stop?  2. You mentioned that neither the engine compartment nor the structural frame rails were compromised, yet the repair estimate ind
