THIS PE WAS OPENED BASED ON A COMPLAINT FROM A JONWAY DEALER IN LAND O'LAKES, FLORIDA. ODI FOUND A NUMBER OF SUBJECT SCOOTERS WERE EQUIPPED WITH 2-PIECE FUEL FILTERS THAT BEGAN LEAKING WHEN THE FILTER SEAL WAS COMPROMISED. ODI WAS ALSO AWARE THAT JONWAY WAS ADDRESSING THE ISSUE ON A CASE-BY-CASE BASIS USING FILTERS FROM ANOTHER SUPPLIER. ODI AND JONWAY ARE UNAWARE OF ANY RELATED FIRES. AFTER THIS PE WAS OPENED, JONWAY DECIDED TO RECALL (09V-131) THE SUBJECT SCOOTERS TO INSTALL A FILTER FROM THE "NEW" SUPPLIER. WITH THAT RECALL, THIS PE IS CLOSED.
