Complaint Description
The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle unexpectedly decelerated and failed to exceed 40 MPH, with the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle unexpectedly went into LIMP Mode. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with turbocharger failure. The contact was informed that the turbocharger needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 110,022.
