Open-data reference.
NHTSA Complaint about WHEELS filed January 27, 2026
NHTSA complaint #2170482 (ODI reference 11713721) concerns a 2022 FORD F-150 and was filed on January 27, 2026. The owner reports the failure occurred on May 25, 2025. The report was geocoded to Louisiana based on the filer's self-reported location. The affected component is categorized as wheels, one of NHTSA's standardized taxonomy codes used to group defect patterns across make, model, and year.
The filer flagged the following severity indicators: crash: no, fire: no, injuries: 0, fatalities: 0. No crash, fire, or fatality was associated with this report, which places it in the early-warning stream rather than the priority-review stream. Because a VIN was supplied, this complaint is tied to a specific vehicle and not just a model-year cohort.
Individual complaints are consumer-submitted and unverified by NHTSA engineers — the agency's role at this stage is to collect, index, and make them searchable. What matters for federal action is the pattern: when many owners of the same FORD F-150 cohort independently describe similar wheels failures, defect investigators have grounds to open a PE and request manufacturer data. Related filings for the same vehicle and component appear below, and the detail page for the full 2022 FORD F-150 shows the complete component-level complaint distribution alongside any active investigations or recalls.
Complaint Description
I have two recalls that I cannot get any assistance with Recall # 23S65 Rear Axle Bolt Breakage and new recall #25S75 which is Fuel Pump Riser. I have acquired services from four different dealerships and have taken photos and mileage to get repairs completed. I hear clicking noise in my truck and afraid of it causing serious damage and injury along with my fuel pump issue and bad gas mileage and noises when initial cranking my vehicle. I would like to know what dealership in Southwest Louisiana could I bring my vehicle in to resolve these issues that I have been dealing with close to a year. If not, what dealership will provide me courtesy like vehicle rental until completed. I currently of the Bubba Ostalet Ford 246 N. Broadway St. Jennings, La 70546.
