Complaint Description

The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormal rumbling sound coming from the front of the vehicle. The contact stated that it felt like the front end of the vehicle was out of alignment. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact believed that there was a misfire coming from the engine. The failure was intermittent. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the failure was not duplicated. The contact was informed that the front-end was properly aligned. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. While a friend was driving at an undisclosed speed, there was a misfire in the engine. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with torque converter failure. The contact was informed that the torque converter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired.
