Complaint Description

The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed with the cruise control activated, the contact heard an abnormally loud popping and clicking sound. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The message "Decreased Engine Power" was displayed, and the vehicle experienced a loss of drive power. The contact coasted off the road and came to a complete stop. The message "Shift to Neutral" was displayed. The contact turned off the vehicle and let it cool down for five minutes.
