Complaint Description
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was depressed, and the âBrake System Failureâ warning light illuminated. The contact stated that when the vehicle was turned off, the error message did not illuminate; however, the error message appeared after driving the vehicle for a while. In addition, the contact stated that when the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to exceed 43 MPH. The contact stated that the failure started after the brake pads were recently replaced. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or a dealer. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 92,000. The VIN was unavailable.
