Complaint Description
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 3500. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH and depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle failed to respond. The ABS and the traction control warning lights were illuminated, and a chime sounded. The contact was able to drive the vehicle to the residence. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with ABS failure. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired under an unknown recall two years ago, and the contact was provided reimbursement for a related repair. The local dealer was contacted and confirmed that the vehicle was previously repaired under an unknown recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 65,100.
