Complaint Description
The contact owns a 2019 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while driving on a two-lane street at 50 MPH, the vehicle was struggling to shift into gear while accelerating. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact drove the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed with a faulty torque converter. The torque converter was replaced; however, several days later while driving 50 MPH, the contact lost control of the steering and heard an abnormal sound of wind inside the vehicle, and the steering wheel became loosened while accelerating. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact was able to coast to a parking lot and parked the vehicle. The contact called her husband, who arrived on the scene to drive the vehicle. The local dealer was contacted, and a service manager inspected the vehicle at the residence. The dealer informed the contact that the vehicle needed to be taken for further diagnostic tests.
