Complaint Description
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the backup camera was turning on and off. While reversing, the backup camera turned black over time. The check engine and ACC adaptive cruise control warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who confirmed the vehicle was not covered under NHTSA Campaign Number:Â 18V629000 (Back Over Prevention, Visibility). The dealer provided an unknown diagnosis, but the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, who opened a case and referred to the NHTSA hotline. The approximate failure mileage was 98,179.
