Complaint Description
I purchased this car on 7/15/24 and had no problems until 8/8/24 after I took my car through an automatic touchless car wash. Upon exiting the car wash, I noticed that the tailgate was now down even though I never unlocked it. I parked the car and closed the tailgate and began driving home. Halfway home, the tailgate opened again on its on. The bed was empty so I continued driving home and then closed it again. Later that night, I went out to take the garbage cans out to the street and again noticed the tailgate was down. I again closed it. The next morning, I went to go to work and the tailgate was again down. This would be a serious safety issue if I had items in the bed of my truck and the tailgate opened while driving. I searched this issue online and found that there are recalls for this exact issue in other trims of this truck but the recalls don't cover my trim. I took it to the dealer where I purchased it and they are looking into fixing it. I want you to know that this is a
