Complaint Description

The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-250. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was a message displayed informing the contact that the vehicle was limited to 50 MPH, after which the vehicle entered LIMP Mode. The driver was able to pull over to the shoulder of the roadway, where the failure persisted. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the exhaust gas recycling (EGR) system. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to Customer Satisfaction Program: 21M04.
