Complaint Description
The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Kicks. The contact stated that while making sharp left and right turns, she heard a grinding sound near the floorboard. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the air flow sensor failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 65-70 MPH, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact was able to restart the vehicle however, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer however, the failure could not be duplicated. The contact stated that she used an OBD scanner and performed a diagnostic test on the vehicle that produced code: P101 (Indicating that the mass air flow sensor was faulty). Additionally, the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, while depressing the brake pedal to stop the vehicle, the vehicle failed to respond as needed.
