Complaint Description
Lug nuts are 2 piece: The thread piece and the chrome head piece. The pieces became loose from each other, then the thread piece rusted and caused the chrome piece to swell and deform so the lug wrench could no longer fit on the lugnut, thus making it impossible to loosen. This can be a major problem when changing a flat tire. I needed to take my car to an auto mechanic to have several of the factory installed lugnuts replaced. I will need to buy replacement non-OEM lugnuts so this doesnât happen any more. I read that this is a problem happening on many Ford vehicles.
