Complaint Description
The contact owns a 2011 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while reversing, the steering wheel locked up and failed to move. The vehicle was restarted and functioned as designed. The power assist warning indicator light illuminated. The contact called the local dealer where the diagnosis was the gearbox needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the vehicle was not covered under a warranty or a recall.
