Complaint Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRUNK INTERMITTENTLY FAILED TO UNLOCK WHILE DEPRESSING THE UNLOCK BUTTON. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE FORD STORE MORGAN HILL (17045 CONDIT RD, MORGAN HILL, CA 95037) WHERE HE WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V698000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES, STRUCTURE) AND THAT HE HAD TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE HAD WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 150,000.
