2010 DODGE CHARGER — Complaint #1840545

Open-data reference.

NHTSA Complaint about AIR BAGS filed September 14, 2022

NHTSA complaint #1840545 (ODI reference 11484357) concerns a 2010 DODGE CHARGER and was filed on September 14, 2022. The owner reports the failure occurred on April 1, 2022. The report was geocoded to North Dakota based on the filer's self-reported location. The affected component is categorized as air bags, one of NHTSA's standardized taxonomy codes used to group defect patterns across make, model, and year.

The filer flagged the following severity indicators: crash: no, fire: no, injuries: 0, fatalities: 0. No crash, fire, or fatality was associated with this report, which places it in the early-warning stream rather than the priority-review stream. Because a VIN was supplied, this complaint is tied to a specific vehicle and not just a model-year cohort.

Individual complaints are consumer-submitted and unverified by NHTSA engineers — the agency's role at this stage is to collect, index, and make them searchable. What matters for federal action is the pattern: when many owners of the same DODGE CHARGER cohort independently describe similar air bags failures, defect investigators have grounds to open a PE and request manufacturer data. Complaint Description

Hi I have been trying to get my recalls fixed but everytime I call the dealership they take my information but they never call me back, it has been many months waiting and It says that my airbag can deploy shrapnel everywhere because of humidity.. I have a heart pump and I take many medications and one of them is a blood thinner. If I get hurt from flying shrapnel it could and most likely will kill me because while taking blood thinners it makes it so that you bleed very easily.. I really don't want to die so is there anyway I can get help with my recalls please.. The place that won't call me back is Lithia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Grand Forks, ND
